Krin is where Senegalese Griot musical traditions meet rave, a synthesis of West African drum rhythms and cutting edge hardware techno. Rhythms passed down through generations and reimagined in the context of modern dance music.
Based in Manchester and weaving in elements of each member’s musical heritage. Traditional African instruments combined with analogue synthesisers and drum machines to create an unforgettable live experience.
Krin began in 2021, their first show was at Festival Square for Manchester International Festival, and they have since played an array of others including Glastonbury, Boomtown , Maui Waui, Bearded Theory, Beat Herder and so many many more! As well as fields, they’re gaining promenece from playing venues and parties across the country.
Their eye grabbing set up is a spectacle in itself with drum machines, synthesizers alongside traditional instruments including the sabar, djembe, doun doun, kenkeni and sang ban.
